I'm not sure whose twisted idea it was to put hundreds of adolescents in underfunded schools run by people whose dreams were crushed years ago..

누구머리에서 이딴 뒤틀린 생각이 나왔는지,수백 명의 청소년을 자금이 부족한 학교에 배치하기 위해 10대 청소년 수백 명을 허접한 학교에 집어넣고 오래전에 꿈이 박살난 사람들에게 맡기다니..

but I admire the sadism.

(웬즈데이에게 환영이 보인다. 동생을 괴롭히는 아이들이다.)

(퍽슬리가 웬즈데이에게)

I'm not about to confess to my brother that I've recently been plagued by visions. They come on without warning, and feel like electroshock therapy, but without the satisfying afterburn. 

동생에게 고백하진 않겠지만, 요즘들어 환영에 시달린다. 그들은 경고없이 오고, 전기충격요법처럼 느껴지지만, 만족스러운 화상은 없다.

남동생의 복수를 위해 피라냐를 풀어서 퇴학을 당하는 웬즈데이, 네버모어에 입학하게 된다.

엄마 아빠 남동생과 웬즈데이 그리고 운전기사 이렇게 차안에 함께 있다.

Mom > Mmm. Darling, how long do you intend on giving us the cold shoulder?

음 얘야 언제까지 우리에게 쌀쌀맞게 굴거니? 

Wed > Lurch, please remind my parents that I'm no longer speaking to them. 

러치, 부모님께 상기시켜줘요. 두분과 더이상 말안한다고.

Mom > Hmm.

 

Dad > I promise you, my little viper, you will love Nevermore.  Won't she, Tish?  

나의 작은 살모사~, 네버모어를 좋아하게 될꺼야, 안그래 티시? // viper : 독사, 살모사

 

Mom > Of course. It's the perfect school for her.

Wed > Why? Because it was the perfect school for you? I have no interest in following in your footsteps.

Becoming captain of the fencing team, Queen of the Dark Prom, President of the Séance Society.

펜싱팀 주장도 안할꺼고, 다크 프롬 퀸도, 강령회 회장도 안해요.

That boy's family was going to file attempted murder charges. 

그 남자애 부모가 너를 미수로 고소하려고 했었어. // attempt 제기하다

Wed > Terrible.

Everyone would know I failed to get the job done.

일을 다 못끝냈다는 뜻이니까요.
